About
Darling Sparrows is an award-winning singer-songwriter living in Vancouver, on the unceded territories of the xÊ·mÉ™θkÊ·É™yÌ“É™m (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and SelÌ“ílÌ“witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Her songs and lyrics are warm, contemporary, and honest - inspired by soft rock and folk singers such as Jewel, James Taylor, and Yusuf/Cat Stevens. Darlings Sparrows is a place to honour the more complicated emotions, messier truths, and trickier way-finding paths - as well as the simple joys and meaningful stories in my life, in life. Themes include searching, struggle, love, loss, human resilience, and identity.

In 2021, her song 'We Are the Wild Horses' was written to honour these noble animals and to bring attention to their value and need for protection. The music video was filmed live on location in the Klamath-Siskiyou wilderness by an all-volunteer non-profit team called Wild Horse Fire Brigade, and was the winner of the 2022 Equus Film & Arts Fest Award, 2022 Global Music Award, 2023 Vegas Movie Awards (best music video), and 2023 California Music and Film Award (official selection).
